Mission Statement
Humans Helping Humans INC is an Afro-Latina-founded and led 501(c)(3) grassroots organization that has served as a trusted neighborhood lifeline in NYC since 2018. Our mission is to restore dignity and stability to low-income families, single mothers, homebound seniors, and individuals with disabilities across New York City. Operating with zero administrative overhead, we eliminate barriers to survival by delivering nutritious groceries, clothing, hygiene essentials, and youth milestone celebration kits directly to our neighbors' doorsteps. Committed to empowering our community through compassion, respect, and practical resource support, we also extend immediate emergency assistance to domestic violence survivors to ensure safety, nourishment, and hope.

How we got started
We grew to a non-profit from a Facebook group. What started as small things such as lunch money, funds for small household items, a few treats for the kids grew into assistance with holiday dinners, and help with graduation costs. this naturally grew into help at holiday time. Then we went local with one of our founders setting up a Caring Closet at their child's school and kept growing. Then they moved into passing out snack and hygiene bags and now we do it for everyone that we can.
